Behavioral Presentation

I got the initial interview by sending in my resume to Northwestern in the hopes of getting a response. After a few weeks, I got a call about a summer position. I called back later when I could. They were nice, but straight business right away. They asked about my life and points on my resume. They asked questions such as 'What is the proudest moment of my life?', and 'What was the most difficult thing you have ever over come'. It was quite easy. I was then told that I would receive, by email, instructions for the next round of interviews. The next round was filling out a ridiculous questionnaire, that seemed very tedious and almost pointless. On top of that, I needed to create a PowerPoint Presentation, on myself and about the company. The presentation was to see how you were as a public speaker. After that, I was on to the third and final round of interview. Before the interview, I needed to interview 5 acquaintances about their feelings towards insurance companies and what they look for in an insurance salesman. This was the most difficult part for me, but it was the most informative. Finally, I had a sit down with the recruiting manager and just had a small chat. It was just a 'getting to know you'.

Behavioral Other

I talked to this really attractive lady who seemed pretty young, like fresh out of college, probably a bit inexperienced. The office was full of attractive women, not surprising since they're in sales. She asked me some basic questions like my strengths and weaknesses, why I wanted to do the internship, and my sales experience. Then I had to fill out a referral sheet, which I guess you should only put people down for if they actually want a job there. After that, they emailed me a personality test. It had two parts: pick adjectives that describe you, then pick adjectives that describe an ideal employee from the same list but in a different order. I think they didn't move me forward because my answers for myself didn't align with what they wanted in an ideal employee.

Behavioral Other

I applied through a college fair, then got an email and took a personality test. After that, I had a phone interview and then two in-person interviews for what was basically an insurance sales position. The role involved building my own professional network, which meant selling to friends and family. I ended up declining the offer.
