Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Northwestern Medicine.
Project Manager
The interview process was quite efficient and direct. The second round was a panel interview, and it was evident that the interviewers had significant tenure at the company, which speaks to their great retention. The conversation was engaging and flowed well.
- Can you describe your approach to managing projects and traffic?
Project Manager
I first got an email from HR to set up a 20-minute call, and then I did a phone screen with the hiring manager. The next day, HR emailed me to invite me for an on-site interview and asked for some dates in the next couple of weeks. I sent my availability about 4 days later and heard nothing for about 2 weeks. Then, I got an email saying the hiring manager decided to go with internal candidates first. I never got any follow-up.
- What makes you want this job?
Project Manager
I had this interview using Computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI), which was a first for me. Honestly, I thought the method was way too impersonal and just difficult to get through. You know, interviewing is already stressful enough, but having to also worry about camera angles, lighting, and sound quality just makes it way too much work and doesn't really help them get to know you better.
