Account Manager
Started with a phone call which was mainly to get me in for an in-person interview. Then had a 15-minute vetting meeting. Following that was a 2-hour interview in a coffee shop, but it was really a group interview pitting me against another candidate. Most of that time was talking about personal interests, with only the last 30 minutes covering the job. The job turned out to be door-to-door sales with long hours (M-F 10-7, Sat 9-3) and low pay ($200-400 weekly). They were vague on benefits and PTO. The application mentioned a 4-year degree requirement, which seemed crazy for the pay. After that, there was a third interview where we had to fill out a questionnaire designed to disqualify negative answers. When I asked about the pay, hours, and benefits, they acted like it wasn't a good fit.

Account Manager
Great and thorough interview process. Got to meet with several people that work at the company. Everyone was welcoming and friendly and genuinely looked happy. I was a little nervous walking in but after my initial meet and greet I felt comfortable walking into my second interview. The 2nd interview was very informative and I actually got to meet with someone that was in the role I was interviewing for. Overall the process was pleasant and thorough.
- What is the most important thing you are looking for in your next position?
Account Manager
I was cold called, likely from my LinkedIn profile. They scheduled interviews really close together, only 30 minutes apart. They mentioned they won't talk about pay, hours, or what the job actually entails until the second interview. I managed to find out it's basically a telemarketer role to start. It felt like a very high-energy, suit-and-tie, 'fake it till you make it' environment, almost like a cult.
- How are you a good leader?
- What exciting plans do you have for this week?
- What are your professional and personal goals in five years?
