The interview process was pretty straightforward, no major hurdles in the early stages. The final interview is subjective and will focus heavily on finance topics, so be ready for that. The offered salary is quite low and not up for negotiation. If you're aiming for a medium to high salary, this might not be the role for you. The office environment seems friendly, though. A significant downside is their slow response time; they take ages to update candidates on their status. By the time they get back to you, you might have already accepted another offer.

I sent in my application and heard back from HR three weeks later. The HR call wasn't a real interview, more like a chat to see what I knew about the company. They then set up the actual interviews. I had a couple of hours in person with the manager and the portfolio manager I'd be working with. It was mostly basic questions, covering my resume and why I'd be a good fit. The next day, I had a phone interview with the department head, and got the offer a few hours after that.

I was contacted by Northern Trust twice for two different roles, one of which was a referral. Both times, the process was unclear. First, I spoke with an HR Manager for general information. Then, I met with the VP and Hiring Manager. Many questions focused on my personality and why I was the best fit. They encouraged me to ask questions, but when I inquired about the position and its team support, the conversation steered back to me discussing my own qualifications. It was a strange interaction.
