Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Northern Trust.
Financial Analyst
The interview was pretty tough, with a panel asking a lot of questions. They asked stuff about investment banking and gave me some situational questions. They also asked about my past work experience, the work culture at my previous company, and why I was looking to leave.
- Questions were all related to capital markets and Accounting principles.
Financial Analyst
I had multiple rounds of interviews with them and did well on assessment day, the second day they called me and told me that I passed AC. However, after my final interview, I never heard from them and neither the HR or interviewers replied to my emails. Absolutely rude and no credibility.
- One group discussion and one group project were conducted.
Financial Analyst
The interview process was quite lengthy, starting from an online assessment all the way to the HR round. The HR person made me feel comfortable though. The technical interview had lots of questions on accounts and finance fundamentals. The HR round had basic questions like 'tell me about yourself', and also asked about my strengths and weaknesses, and continued to ask more questions based on my answers.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What are the fundamental accounts and finance concepts?
