First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Northeast Georgia Health System.
Physical Therapist
The NGHS outpatient rehab team is fantastic. The interview process they use is quite thorough, which means it takes a little while to get through, but the job itself is definitely worth the wait! I really enjoy working here.
- Can you tell me about your professional aspirations and your experience with different types of patients?
Nurse Resident
It was a pretty chill interview. The nurse manager and I figured out a time that worked for both of us and we chatted on Zoom for about 45 minutes. She told me about the program, the benefits, and the pay.
- Why are you interested in the NE Georgia Medical Center Residency Program?
- Would you be open to working in a specialty other than what you initially preferred?
- What are your future aspirations as a nurse?
Registered Nurse
Sometimes hiring managers don't give equal or fair opportunities, especially when it comes to prior experience requirements for more desirable positions. I have years of experience in an acute care setting on a very demanding hospital floor. They'd tell me my interview was great, they liked me, and they'd follow up, but then I'd get an email saying they found someone more qualified. Then I found out that someone worked on the same floor as me and didn't have previous experience in the job I applied for. If they already had a favorite in mind, why waste my time coming in for an interview?
- Do you have experience in xyz?
Healthcare Recruiter
I applied for the Healthcare Recruiter position on 6/18/23. My first interview was a phone call on 06/30/23 with a pleasant recruiter who asked typical questions. I was then scheduled for a second interview with four other individuals, which made me question the role. Despite my doubts, I proceeded with the interview, which was with Talent Acquisition Managers, Directors, and Recruiters. The interviewers were cold and unwelcoming, with no one smiling or appearing happy to meet me. I also noticed a complete lack of diversity in management, which was disappointing in 2023 for such a large organization. I was not offered the position, and for the first time in my career, I was happy to receive a rejection letter.
- What makes you want to join NGHS?
