I interviewed with Northbay twice, first in 2022 and then again in 2025. The 2022 attempt had two interview rounds but no HR follow-up. In 2025, they contacted me again. I got through three rounds with the Lead, VP, and CTO. HR then said they were waiting on a customer deal. I followed up a lot but never heard back. The actual interviews were solid, but the lack of communication and closure was a letdown. People spend their time on this, and updates are expected. I wouldn't recommend interviewing here until they get better at communicating.

So I had this interview for an AI/ML Engineer role. The first round was with someone from India, pretty chill, stayed on topic, and was respectful. The second interview was with someone from Lahore, and it was weird because he cut the call short right after I asked my first question. Then the final round was also with someone from Lahore, who was definitely senior, maybe a VP. This guy was super impatient and didn't articulate this coding question well, even though I'd already passed two technical rounds. After all that, HR totally ghosted me. No response to calls, texts, or emails. It felt like a waste of time since they weren't going to hire me anyway.

So I finished my interviews, there were 3 rounds initially and everything seemed to go well. Then I had to wait for about 3 weeks. Unexpectedly, I got a call for a 4th round. They had told me in the first 3 rounds that they were interested, and that this last one was just so the client could chat. After I finished the 4th round, out of nowhere, they told me they didn't have any requirements and wouldn't be making an offer. This was really frustrating behavior from the company, wasting my time for over a month. They kept saying my reviews were great, but then at the end, they showed their true colors. It was a disgusting and unethical experience, a complete waste of time with false communication.

Technical Behavioral

I interviewed Northbay as a fresh graduate, the interview process consisted of four phases: 1. A technical interview upfront which assess your technical and problem solving skills. You need to rehearse the Data Structures, OOP and DB concepts for that. 2. Interview with Project Manager - A short interview with the Project Manager assessing your personality. 3. Interview with Director - A behavioral interview assessing whether you're cultural fit or not. 4. Interview with HR - A formality interview for discussing the offer.
