Behavioral Presentation

This company is a Pyramid Scheme (or multi-level marketing) scam. They advertise the role as a marketing assistant, but in reality you will be doing door to door sales on a commission only basis. They will call this something along the lines of "residential initiatives" to "engage face to face with clients", typical deceptive language. My interview was with two other people over Zoom, and while I strongly suspected already that this company was a scam I decided to attend anyway just to confirm it for myself. It quickly became apparent that I was right, with the interviewer being incredibly evasive when asked about the specifics of the role until I was able to get him to admit to it being door to door sales, not marketing at all. Interestingly, they are based out of the same building as the Synthesis Group, another Sheffield based Pyramid Scheme. Judging by the way these companies work, one likely grew out of the other. When I confronted the interviewer, I was swiftly kicked from the call. I only hope the other two people I was in the call with were not suckered in. Do not get involved with this "company"!

The interview process was short and quick. It took a couple of minutes to pass a phone screening, and another face to face with the manager. The core interview was a full voluntary day with the team. I was not asked to work or meet any targets, simply follow, spend time with potential co-workers and learn.

The interview covered various topics, starting with career goals and expectations for my next role. I spent a full day meeting the team and also got to learn a lot. The process concluded with a final interview with the CEO before an offer was extended.
