I applied and heard from Destiny within 2 days regarding a preliminary interview. I said yes and they sent me a text message with the location and time that I was scheduled to interview. I did not have any trouble finding the location and the first thing I noticed was how awesome the layout was! It is a very open atmosphere and it looks modern. There are a couple of couches and chairs (very casual) and great music...not your typical office, which I loved! I came in and did my interview with one of the managers and the interviewer was very transparent. I was asked a couple of questions and was told a little bit about Northgate and the role they play with green energy and telecom companies (they acquire new accounts and help retain existing accounts through face to face relationship building). I was a communications and psych double major so I was really impressed with the fact that they start everyone in entry level and have hands on training to learn basic sales and marketing skills. On the second round interview, I was taken out by a guy and a girl. They took me out to get coffee at Caribou (best interview I have yet to be on) and told me more about the company and their roles at Northgate...their positions that they earned through merit and performance (not time or seniority.) They explained the pay and hours and growth structure, again, performance based, which is something I have been looking for and something that I can imagine is not for people not confident in their work ethic. The third round interview was short, just an opportunity for me to meet another manager and ask any final questions. I am still waiting to hear back from them but I am thankful for the opportunity to have interviewed at this company!

The first round interview was an informational session about the company. I got to the interview and saw several people interviewing, which is a bad sign. I waited in their waiting room listening to loud music. The interviewer was robotic and cold, sticking to his questions and only giving brief company info. The entire interview lasted about 10-15 minutes, something that could have been a phone call. The company seems like a startup with an unstable job.

Behavioral Presentation

It's a 3-step interview process. They dig into your past job experiences, like your hot spots and pain points, and what you're seeking in your next role. There's some hype involved, hyping you up about the potential to earn a lot of money. They'll talk about travel opportunities, North Gate's perks, and basically anything to avoid discussing actual pay. They want to get you excited about the job.
