Behavioral Other

Applied for an entry level account manager role. The first interview was short and positive, just a meet and greet. The second interview, which was the second of three total interviews, is when they finally revealed the job description. It turned out to be nothing like what was advertised; it was a high-pressure sales role selling phones and internet bundles, similar to what you see in big box stores. The pay was $20,000 base plus commission, which is not a livable wage. The role was not about managing accounts or brand marketing as I expected. It wasn't a standard 9-5 job either, with one day off (Wednesday) and mandatory shifts, including nights, to push sales. Benefits were not mentioned. They seemed to realize I wasn't interested after the second interview, as I didn't get a callback, which I'm actually relieved about.

Behavioral Presentation

It was a very simple 2 part interview. The second round is when they really explain the business to you in depth. The position is NOT what that advertise in the job posting. You will be selling direct tv inside of a same club for a pay of 300-400 a week. You work 6 days a week 11-7 on weekdays and 9am-5 on weekends with Wednesday off. It's one of those sales positive that prey on fresh graduates. You WILL NOT be utilizing any skills. Even upper management sells direct tv. They need to be more transparent in their job postings.
