The interview was maybe a bit chaotic due to it possibly being a busy time and short-staffed. The store is in a nice, wealthy area with fancy customers. I've been to other stores that felt more chill and approachable, which I'd prefer after this. I might try another location or wait until closer to the holidays.

I had a video interview that lasted an hour where I had to answer some questions. After that, I moved on to the next step, which was a phone interview. This phone interview was really intense. It was mostly STAR questions, and the interviewer wasn't very friendly. After I answered all the STAR questions, she talked about the company, but when I asked her about it, she was really vague. She explained the schedule and the hours, and how I'd need to fit into them. All of this felt like red flags to me, suggesting I'd have very little control over my work schedule or career path. I sent a thank you email, but I never got a response. Honestly, I wasn't impressed with the company after my one-hour interview, even though I tried my best. I got a generic email back even though I prepared a lot and spent a lot of time on the process. I felt like I really wasted my time and was super disappointed because I was so excited about the possibility of working for Nordstrom, but I wasn't happy with how the company was presented.
