This was just the initial screening interview. They were understanding about me having just finished my military service and asked about its extent. They enjoyed hearing about my experiences during and after college as a new grad. The interview was mostly in English, which was manageable. They inquired about my salary expectations, which felt a little unusual for a fresh grad but I understood their reasoning. This was only the first interview; I'll keep you posted.

The first stage was with HR, who reviewed my CV and discussed my previous job challenges. It was a straightforward interview covering OOP and system design. Following that, I had an interview with the manager, which involved some behavioral questions and SQL optimization tasks.

The interview process started with an initial telephonic round with a developer. After clearing that, I was invited to their office for further rounds. Although I didn't bring my laptop, they expected me to do a test managed by a consultancy HR. Upon arrival, the HR person was quite upset with the consultancy HR for not sending me with a laptop, which was a very poor start. The face-to-face interview began, and unfortunately, I was rejected in the very first round. It's surprising for a company aspiring to be a major player in the Saudi region to lack basic infrastructure like a spare laptop for candidates, reflecting poorly on their HR policies and operational readiness. It's essential to respect candidates who travel to the office, especially in extreme heat (43C). The overall impression was very negative.
