Software Engineer
I had a good first talk with a recruiter. I wasn't really looking but ed-tech and the perks sounded good. I asked if they had take-home projects since I was a bit rusty with interviews, and they did set me up with one that was pretty interesting. After I sent it in, they said the team liked it and wanted to meet me. Then I talked with an engineer about my solution, my thought process, the details of how I built it, and what I'd do differently with more time. That went well, and they wanted me to meet the CTO. I met with the CTO, and that conversation also went fine. Everyone seemed nice. But then things went downhill after the interviews. They said they weren't an interview-and-ghost company, but it seems they are. It's been a month, and I haven't heard anything. I messaged the recruiter a few times about feedback or a decision, but got nothing back. It'd be cool if companies would call people back. If there's feedback to help me improve for future interviews, that's great! I'm not expecting it though. If I'm not a good fit, that's fine! Just let me know. Please do better than this. So many places just ghost you after an interview, and I don't get it. I took time out of my day for your process, can't you take a few minutes to keep me updated?

Market Research Analyst
I went through 3 interviews for the Market Research Analyst position. The first was with Danny Gonzalez, a Talent Acquisition Partner at Noodle, who made the whole process the best I've ever had, even sending good luck emails! The second interview was with the Senior Market Research Analyst on the team, and the final one was with the Managing Director of Research. I really enjoyed talking with them all and could tell how passionate they are about their work. I felt more and more excited about joining the team after each interview. Danny kept me updated regularly, which I really appreciated, and I felt super supported. Getting the offer was a dream, and I was able to chat with Danny again to finalize the details, which made me feel really confident accepting. I'm so excited to officially become part of the Noodle family!

Academic Director
I was really disappointed in my interview experience with Noodle. I applied for the Academic Director role and got an email back for an initial interview really quickly. After my interview with the recruiter, I was told I'd definitely be moving to the next round because I was exactly what they were looking for. They said I'd hear back within a week. I waited 2 weeks and still nothing. After following up, I was told I should hear back soon. About a month later, I got an auto-response saying they were moving forward with another candidate. I don't get why you would tell someone they are moving forward and then do nothing about it. Just be honest with people.
- Can you tell me about your experience developing online courses?
Data Analytics Engineer
I applied on LinkedIn and the recruiter called me. The recruiter emphasized multiple times that they don't ghost candidates, saying it's a key differentiator from other companies. Then, I spoke with the manager about my background and role expectations. After that, there was a screen share SQL coding round with four questions, which I felt I aced. Unfortunately, the recruiter never followed up, and it's been two months now. I guess I'm glad it didn't work out.
- Tell me about your SQL and ETL experience.
- Describe your experience with data modeling.
