It was both motivational and technical. They really expect you to be prepared, with a deep understanding of accounting and corporate finance, plus the technicals for the main sectors the company is interested in (infra & energy, utilities). You need to apply the concepts with real examples, like the cost of capital for A2A or comparing the cost of capital for a company with a luxury firm.

The interview process involved a series of steps, starting with a recruiter call, followed by a phone screen, then a technical screen, and finally an onsite interview. Candidates were asked questions about valuation techniques, DCF models, their CV, financial products, bond yields, interest rates, current financial news, the stock market, key banking KPIs, enterprise value, and cash flows.
