I applied for a UX/UI Designer job in Jakarta and was asked to do a 60-minute aptitude test. I did the whole test, but then I was rejected right after. They said it was because there were too many applicants, not because of how I did on the test. It was annoying because they didn't even screen us first before making us do a test that took so long. It felt like they didn't care about my time or the applicant experience at all.

after i passed the technical test, i had an interview with a user, and then i interviewed with the president director. the user asked me questions about the teams i usually work with and how the workflow is. the president director then asked me to go into detail about my previous projects that are in my portfolio.

I had an experience with NRI Indonesia that was quite disappointing. The recruitment process lacked transparency. After applying, I only got one invitation for an online test, which seemed like a basic aptitude assessment. There wasn't any clear explanation about the evaluation criteria or how the results would be used. What was most concerning is that I didn't get any feedback or insight into my test performance. Soon after the test, I received a rejection letter without any explanation. This made the process feel unclear and unfair. I think providing basic feedback or more transparency would improve the candidate experience. Clear communication is important for applicants who invest time and effort.
