Growth Marketing Manager
The interview process consisted of four parts. First, an initial phone screening that went smoothly. Then, a meeting with some team members and HR, which was also fine, though they seemed preoccupied. After that was the take-home assignment, where I had to create a full media plan for a client based on a case study from their website, which felt a bit off. I did the project, which they said would take '3 hours max' – but a proper media plan always needs more time, and they didn't give all the necessary data. The final meeting was to discuss the plan, and it was a total mismatch. They questioned my approach, likely because they had a pre-existing plan for the client that they considered definitive and were looking for someone who thought the same way. I didn't advance, which wasn't a surprise. All in all, it was disappointing.
- Could you explain your reasoning for allocating a budget across various channels?
Digital Marketing Manager
Had 4 rounds, not a lot of time for questions. They asked for a W-9 and a copy of my ID for a 3rd round 'consulting' project at $20/hr, which seemed odd since a W-9 is usually for payments over $600. As soon as I questioned this and even offered to do it for free, they said the position was filled.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What do you consider important beyond just the advertisement itself?
Growth Marketing Manager
The interview process was pretty simple. First, we had a general Q&A. Then, the second round was with the strategy team where we got into more specifics for the role. The third and last round was a "paid" trial presentation. This involved an hour-long meeting where I had to create and present a powerpoint on different topics. I thought the idea was cool, but the team seemed really distant during the process, like they were over it and I was the last one. I saw other reviews and thought it would be different for me. It wasn't - they didn't pay me for the presentation, which took hours plus practice and recording. Overall, I think they're a good company but their process has some issues. Just be aware, it could work out if you're a good fit, but don't expect payment for the presentation.
- Can you review NoGood’s website and offer 2-3 pieces of feedback regarding CRO?
