Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at No Frills.
Cashier
The interview was pretty straightforward. Just be yourself. They asked some easy questions about customer service. It was over in about 20 minutes max. There were about 5 or 6 questions about retail or customer service stuff. The manager was cool and chill.
- How would you assist a customer who needs help?
Cashier
General HR questions were asked, covering topics like difficult customer interactions, your strengths and weaknesses, future aspirations, your abilities, past work experience, what motivates you, and how you manage stress and repetitive tasks. It was pretty standard stuff you might encounter at other companies.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Tell me about a difficult situation you had with a customer and how you dealt with it.
- What are your future plans?
Cashier
It was easy - includes general questions but the important thing for them was your time flexibility specially on the weekends! It is part time and they distribute your hours as they like it. For example 4 hours per a day.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What makes you want to work for this company and in this role?
- How flexible is your availability, particularly on weekends?
