The interview process was good. I was interviewed by the company CFO and the HR Head. I had at least six interviews with the HR Manager and other people. The interview process was very long. They offered me a verbal offer, but when the actual date of joining came, they did not revert. After many follow-ups, they gave me a false date of joining again, and the same thing happened. I think they need to stick to their word and stop playing with people. If they don't have any openings, they should not waste people's time, money, and energy. I spent over USD 150 for attestation, phone, and travel costs to attend interviews.

So NMDC was hiring for 250 fresher industrial engineers back in Feb 2015. First up was a written test in May 2015, results out in June. Then came the Interview and GD round in July, with final results announced in September. The written test had 100 engineering questions (lots of 1st year mechanics, only about 50% industrial eng related) and 25 each on Quant, Verbal, and Reasoning, plus General Awareness. No negative marking but there were sectional and overall cutoffs. They called in 5 times the number of vacancies for the interview. The GD was on a weird topic: 'Autonomous driverless system for parking of vehicles' with 10-12 people. First 15 mins for discussion, then they gave a chance to those who hadn't spoken, and everyone had to summarize. My advice: focus on valuable content, don't just blabber. Summarize concisely, covering all points, and give a conclusion. Document verification was super strict. They even sent freshers home without travel reimbursement because they didn't have their degrees, and they were really picky about related disciplines and cutoffs.

Technical Behavioral

It was a pretty standard interview process. I started with a phone call interview, then a technical interview. They accepted me but then didn't give me an offer for reasons that weren't clear. After that, I got emails asking me to get all my documents ready and upload them, and then fill out the company's internal forms. Later, I got an email saying the top management couldn't offer me the job due to internal issues. It felt unfair because I had already prepared everything, and it was a big letdown that still bothers me.
