First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NJ TRANSIT.
Project Intern
The interview process was very straightforward. They responded pretty quickly and were always available for follow-up emails if you needed anything. Definitely check out the GIS department if they're hiring! The process involved an HR contact, then the Hiring Manager, and finally an offer.
- Why are you interested in NJ Transit?
Intern
The interview process was great cuz I got to interview w/ my supervisor directly rather than HR. The hiring process was grueling tho cuz of HR. They only had two people working to hire a large group of interns and you had to call them to know if they needed anything from you, which they always did and wouldn't tell you.
- What is the distance between your home and the work location?
Intern
The interview included several in-depth questions about your background and skills, as well as some behavioral questions. They also asked about your resume experience. The interviewer was nice and patient with any questions you had.
- What would you do to resolve a conflict within a team?
