First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NiSource.
Intern
The department leader reached out to me. I had two rounds of interviews: the first one was with the department leader and another team member, and the second one was with three people from the department I'd be joining. They used STAR questions. A couple of weeks later, I was contacted for a drug screening, and then received an offer.
- Were you able to locate information and research records?
Intern
It was a really chill interview process, and they asked questions but wanted us to use the STAR method for answering. For this intern position, there was just one interview. It felt really comfortable, and I genuinely liked the company overall.
- Tell me about a challenge you've overcome in a previous job.
Intern
I got an email and then had an interview with a group. They asked mostly behavioral questions to check for teamwork skills. There was no intro part, it was direct. It was easier than I thought.
- They asked all behavioral questions, and nothing was particularly hard.
