Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NinjaOne.
Account Executive
It was a pretty straightforward interview process with 3 rounds. I decided to decline the offer because the job required being in the office every single day for the first 6 months, which wasn't mentioned in the initial job description.
- What is your motivation for joining NinjaOne?
Account Executive
Initial call with the recruiter went well; they were friendly, professional, and responsive. The next round involved an interviewer who had forgotten about the scheduled interview and needed to reschedule. After rescheduling, the interviewer seemed annoyed during the call. While I understand interviewers might feel a candidate isn't a fit, I believe a basic level of politeness is expected from both sides, as interviews are a mutual evaluation.
- On a scale of 1-10, how technically proficient do you consider yourself to be?
- Can you explain why you took a six-month sabbatical at your previous company?
- What were the reasons the company did not extend your contract?
Account Executive
I went through 5 calls for this role. The process started in May, but they messed up scheduling the second call. I had to re-apply after they ignored my emails, and only then did they pick things up again. The hiring managers were super quiet and didn't give any feedback or tell me what was next. I did get to the presentation, which I thought went great, but it took me calling the hiring managers and recruiter like 3-4 times to get anything back. The feedback was so generic, like a form letter.
- Can you describe your sales process?
- What can you tell me about your product knowledge?
- What are your past quota attainment numbers?
