Applied online and then a week later the recruiter had reached out to me. She invited me to come in and talk in person and halfway through our interview she wanted to see if I could meet with members of the team. Unfortunately, they were OOO (unsure why she didnt check to see if they would be there). 2 weeks later I came in to interview with the team they were incredibly nice. They gave me 15 minutes after we talked to write a pitch. It was a fine experience. My biggest issue was with HR who didn't follow up with me and didn't tell me I didn't get the position. I found out online. As a recruiter for a small/mid-size agency, a rejection email would've been greatly appreciated.

I did an initial interview with HR for an SAE role about a week after applying. The person interviewing me was really nice and took the time to explain what they were looking for. It took more than two weeks to hear back and get an automated rejection, even though they said they'd let me know in about 7 business days. By then, I already figured I wouldn't get it since companies move fast for candidates they're really interested in. I appreciated the chance, but it would've been better to hear back when they said they would so people aren't left wondering. The next steps would have been a portfolio review and then a final interview.
