First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NIFCO America Corp.
Project Engineer
After applying through an external career site, a recruiter contacted me to set up an interview. Travel expenses are not covered. The first interview was with three engineers who prioritized a positive attitude over work experience. The second interview involved two managers, one of whom was from the previous round. This interview was very casual and informal, unlike typical interviews with standard questions. All interviewers were engineers and friendly. Finally, a recruiter handled salary negotiations, though their compensation is not competitive.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Product Design Engineer
A recruiting company reached out to me about the role. We talked about the job and the company, and then I applied through them. They even updated my resume behind my back. After that, I got an interview invitation. Since I was from out of state, they only scheduled one interview. I never heard back from the company or the recruiter.
- Why are manhole covers round?
Quality Engineer Intern
It was a pretty simple process. It was a group interview with 6 people in total. You'd go around and talk to each interviewer for about 5-15 minutes. The interviewers were from different departments, and it looked like they interviewed for all the intern roles with the same group of people.
- Which class did you like the most during your studies?
Sales Account Manager
There were three people who briefly explained the job. They asked me why I was interested and to explain details on my resume. There were also simple questions about calculating margin, and some typical filler questions that weren't too difficult. I was asked if I had any questions.
- What is the profit margin if a part costs $2 to make and sells for $3?
