First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nielsen.
Intern
The interview was pretty straightforward, asking very basic stuff. First, I was asked to talk about my project. After that, we went into some easy DSA problems and then some basic OOPs questions.
- Can you find the largest substring with unique characters?
Intern
My interview at Nielsen was quite straightforward. The questions were mostly about my personality, what I'm interested in, and how I handle certain situations. They wanted to understand my behavioral profile, motivations, and values, focusing more on cultural and personal fit than technical skills.
- Where do you see yourself in the future?
Intern
The interview was pretty straightforward, similar to a case interview for a consulting position. There were 3 cases in a row and they got harder as they progressed. I didn't think the interviewers were very friendly and they were silent for most of the time when they weren't asking questions making the process very uncomfortable - they took a few months to get back to me to let me I didn't get the position.
- Estimate the number of daily flights from O'Hare Airport.
