Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nidec.
Design Engineer
The interview process was pretty fast and simple, starting with an HR screen, then a virtual chat with the hiring manager, and finishing with a group interview on-site. The HR team was really on top of things with scheduling and following up. I decided not to accept the offer because the pay and vacation time weren't an upgrade. Everyone I met was super nice throughout the whole thing. I'd consider interviewing with them again.

Project Engineer
A recruiter reached out to me. The first interview was with them remotely, and the second interview was in person with Nidec's internal HR and technical lead.
- They were looking for someone with fluent English to handle technical communication with international customers.
Engineer
The interview lasted about 30 minutes. The interviewer asked about my personal details, education background, work experience, and objectives. All questions asked could be answered. I was required to present my final year project using a whiteboard. I had the choice to pick between two departments: designing or quality assurance.
- Could you explain your Final Year Project?
