First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NiCE.
Performance Engineer
This was the worst interview process ever. They took salary documents, my current offer, and my current organization's appraisal letter, and then I received no offer. When I asked why, they said the interview rounds feedback wasn't positive. They conduct multiple rounds (4-5) with the onshore (Israel) team and the India team (Directors). Then they ask if you have an offer in hand and criticize your current offers. After that, there's an HR interview with a Senior Director Level HR who tries to convince you to join because they like your profile. Then, they collect documents (Salary Slips, existing offer letters, Current organization appraisal letter). After that.................Boom, you hear nothing from the company for 2 weeks. I emailed to ask about the delay in offer letter generation, and their feedback was that the interview wasn't positive. It's unbelievable that they ask for all sensitive documents without positive interview feedback. Very unprofessional behavior. I wonder what they'll do after joining if they behave like this before. Think carefully before joining such an organization.
- How do you approach writing functions and variables in Shell Scripting?
- Can you answer some Linux questions?
- What are your thoughts on server-side performance testing?
Trainee Engineer
There were three rounds for the trainee engineer role. The first round involved general aptitude questions. The second round was a technical interview with two interviewers where I had to explain my project briefly, code two C++ programs, and answer basic OOPs questions. The final round was an HR interview with questions about my family background, strengths, and weaknesses.
- Tell me about yourself
- Can you tell me about your family background?
- What are your strengths?
Engineer
So, the interview started with a recruiter call where they checked my background and experience to see if I was a good fit. Then, I had a phone interview with one of the managers. This seemed mostly like a personality check, with questions about handling workplace disagreements, managing stress, and similar behavioral scenarios, though they did ask a few questions about my skills. After that, I went to an on-site technical session that lasted about an hour. It was a class for about eight of us candidates to learn about the Nice product line. Following the class, there was an essay test, and only three of us passed. It felt like you really needed to know the product well to get the 85% needed to pass. That was the end of the line for me because I didn't pass the test. If you get to that stage, I'd really recommend paying close attention during the class and asking a lot of questions because the info isn't online beforehand.
- What's your approach when dealing with a coworker who is angry, either at a client or at you?
- Tell me about how you manage stress.
- How do you handle conflicts with colleagues who are experiencing anger?
