Technical Coding

The process started with an online assessment which included questions on Aptitude, Data Science, AWS, and Logical Reasoning. There were also 2 coding questions. The first coding question involved performing an inorder tree traversal, and it specifically required using Python. The second coding question was quite simple, asking to calculate an average.

Behavioral Technical

It was a pretty standard interview process, nothing too out there or technical, mostly just chatting. Started with a recruiter call, then I talked to the hiring manager, then a teammate, and finally had to do a take-home task. The interviewers were upfront about the role being a bit dull and that there's basically no moving to different jobs for the first couple years. They also said they're really firm on salary and if you get hired after July 1st, you miss out on a big chunk of the bonus. The chat with the teammate was weirdly uncomfortable. The biggest red flag was the take-home task, though. The recruiter was pushy about getting it back ASAP because they said it was 'for a client.' I doubt that was true, but even if it was, why would they have candidates do actual client work?

  • Describe your experience at ___ and how you'd use those skills here.

Behavioral Technical Coding Other

started with a recruiter interview where we talked about projects, salary expectations, and they offered much less than I was asking for. Then there was a take-home project with two questions, which I had a week to complete. After that, an interview focused on the take-home project. Next, a technical interview with the hiring manager covering statistics, probability, machine learning, and SQL. Finally, a behavioral interview with a senior director. After I successfully completed all the interviews, they mentioned they were preparing an offer letter. However, after following up for a month, the recruiter informed me the position was no longer available. The team members were great during the interviews, but ultimately it felt like a significant waste of my time.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Could you explain some probability calculations using conditional probability and Bayes theorem?
  • Can you answer some statistics questions?
  • What are your thoughts on classification models?
