NHG Health Manager Interview Questions
& Process

Before the interview, I had to complete a form detailing my employment history and other information. The first round, with the hiring manager, started on time and was efficient and to the point. The second round, with HR, started late, felt less structured, and went over the scheduled time. The interviewers were pleasant and friendly throughout.

Started with an application form and 2 short essays. Then, an assessment centre at TTSH. In groups of 4-5 (based on home institution), we had a ~1h discussion with challenges to assess soft skills. We then presented our group's solution, with a Q&A. They focused on body language and soft skills, not just the answers. Finally, a panel interview (2-9 people, depending on institution) with institution-specific and general questions. My panel interview was about 40 mins, and the interviewers were nice and open.

After my resume got selected for the Healthcare Management Associate Programme (HMAP), I was invited to an Assessment Center at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Before that, I had to read a bunch of articles about the healthcare industry. At the assessment center, there were about 80 of us and we were split into groups of 4-5. We did an icebreaker and then the main part of the assessment: a PW-style problem-solving exercise where we had to come up with an innovative solution for healthcare problems faced by three target groups. We couldn't use the internet or ChatGPT and had to write our ideas on a flipboard. We discussed for about 60 minutes, took a break, and then had another 75 minutes of discussion. After that, each group presented their solution for 8 minutes, followed by a 20-minute Q&A with the assessors. I heard that only one person from each group would be selected for the next round. Unfortunately, I haven't heard back from NHG since the assessment center, so I assume I was unsuccessful, especially since the supposed start date was in May.
