Behavioral Case Technical

It started with a 15-minute recruiter chat, which felt more like they were telling me about the company and checking my salary expectations rather than asking me questions. The next day, I had a 30-minute call with the hiring manager, which was pretty standard. Then came a loop interview with three team members, split over two days. Two weeks later, I had a 1-hour video case study with the same hiring manager. The following week, there was a 45-minute interview with a VP. The recruiter was helpful and kept me updated, and the interviews were on time, with people being upfront about what they needed. On the downside, recruiters would call unexpectedly about scheduling instead of emailing or giving a heads-up. After all those rounds, the recruiter left a voicemail saying I wouldn't get an offer, with very little feedback.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was quite drawn out and messy. It started with a recruiter call, then a meeting with the Director. After that, I had to complete a business proposal assignment, which I submitted to the recruiter. I didn't get any feedback on it, just that it was good enough to move forward. The third interview was a standard 30-minute chat with another team member. They didn't mention my assignment or give me a chance to present it, and I'm not sure if they even knew I'd done it. A week passed without hearing back about the next interview. I emailed the recruiter, only to find out they were out of office. Another week later, I got a voicemail saying I didn't get the job. Honestly, the business proposal felt pointless since I never got to present it. Also, more than 2-3 interviews seems unnecessary.

Coding Technical Behavioral

The hiring process had five stages. It started with a recruiter screening call to check for general fit and discuss salary expectations. Next, there was a take-home assignment on CoderPad, which involved building a small React app using provided boilerplate code. While there's no strict time limit, it's suggested to take around 2 hours and be completed in one sitting. Following that, a technical interview with the Engineering Team took about 2 hours. This segment included a 15-minute chat with the VP of Software about Ordermark and any questions you might have. Then, there was a 45-minute session on CoderPad with a senior/lead engineer, focusing on solving small whiteboard problems using pseudocode to assess your thought process; extra time was available for questions if you finished early. Another 45-minute 'tech deep dive' with a different senior/lead engineer involved more whiteboard problems, similar in difficulty but requiring code execution. Again, early finishers could ask questions. After that, a 1.5-hour interview with the Product Team consisted of two 45-minute sessions with product team members, focusing on behavioral and culture-related questions. Finally, there was a brief 15-minute discussion with the CTO, which felt like a formality but offered a chance to meet top leadership and understand company priorities.

Presentation Behavioral

Ordermark will have you create a 30/60/90 day plan for their NextBite products, but they don't actually plan on hiring anyone. They seem to lack their own sales strategy and are just grabbing ideas through fake job posts. They asked me to create a 30/60/90 day plan and present it to the VP. They'll ask you to email the presentation, but you'll get an auto-rejection before you even get to present. They have multiple job listings with different titles but the same job description. My guess is they need to show a sales plan to their investors (they got $120 million in Covid loans) and aren't serious about hiring. Don't bother with this.
