It started with a phone chat with a recruiter where we talked about my resume. Then, I had to do a programming test on HackerRank, which took about 2 hours and involved 3 assignments. They had automated tests, but I could only see if they passed or failed. After that, I had an interactive programming session with an engineer, also on HackerRank. The final part was an on-site interview, which had 6 separate 1-hour sessions, each one-on-one with different engineers. Most of them had me do a programming task on a whiteboard. I really liked how the whole process went; everyone was super friendly and always replied within 24 hours.

After applying online, I got a call from HR within a week for a quick 30-minute chat. Then, they had me complete a 2-hour coding challenge with 3 problems on Hacker Rank, which I found easy and passed easily. About a week later, I had a 1-hour conversation with a more senior HR person about the company and my career goals. Following that, I was scheduled for a technical interview with a senior developer the next week. A week after that, I had a 1-hour technical phone interview where I worked on two coding problems in a shared Google doc. Although I didn't solve the first one optimally, we discussed it, and I correctly analyzed its complexity. The interviewer seemed friendly, and the conversation went well. A week later, the initial HR contact informed me that while the interviewer liked me, my skills didn't align with the team's needs, which I found to be brief and unhelpful feedback given my performance on the coding tests and during the interview. I felt my time was wasted and the reason for rejection wasn't clear.
