Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Newell Brands.
Analyst
The interview process was pretty standard. Started with a recruiter phone call for screening, then a phone interview with the hiring manager, followed by an in-person interview with the team. Surprisingly, there wasn't a technical test, which I guess makes sense since the role mostly uses Salesforce data and doesn't require a ton of analytical work.
- What motivates you to work at this company?
Analyst
It was a quick and easy process, and the atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. The recruiter was very laid-back and even offered some tips about the role. The company has great functionality and a very diverse niche.
- How many years have you worked with marketing?
Analyst
Applied for a job and after 2 months, the recruiter got in touch. Scheduling was a bit messy and needed a lot of follow-up. I had to complete an hour-long assessment and then had seven half-hour interviews with different people in the company for this entry-level analyst position. Even after spending 4.5 hours on assessments and interviews, they didn't bother to tell me I didn't get the role or give any feedback. It felt like they have outdated and arrogant hiring practices, and the general vibe suggested a poor company culture.
- Can you share an example of a time you creatively convinced others?
