Product Management Director
The interview process started with two phone interviews, the first with a recruiter and the second with the hiring executive. After that, I was invited for an on-site interview. During the on-site, I met with about six different people before meeting with two executives. One executive asked about my salary expectations and seemed surprised, even though this had been discussed with the recruiter initially and was deemed acceptable. The other executive requested a detailed 90-day plan immediately. They didn't seem impressed with my initial response and asked me to revise it and email it, which I did a few days later. I never heard back after that. This experience was completely unprofessional and I'd advise avoiding it. It's understandable why they've been trying to fill the position for a year.
- What strategies would you propose to boost sales within the initial year?
- Could you outline your salary expectations?
- Please present a comprehensive 90-day plan at this moment.
Product Manager
The process was pretty straightforward. They asked questions about my past experience, what I like, and what I expect, and gave me more information about the job. It wasn't heavy on EQ questions, but everything was work-related.
- Do you play any video games?
Product Manager
A headhunter reached out to me about a Product Manager role. I was interested because of their brand. I went in and was taken to a room to meet with directors. The first interview seemed fine, but then I waited a long time for the next one. The second interviewer seemed unprepared and said they pulled him in unexpectedly and hadn't seen my resume. I met with 4 or 5 people in total, and each asked what position I was interviewing for. It felt really unorganized and like they hadn't prepared. I was disappointed. Also, when I asked if they liked working there or were happy, none gave a direct answer, just saying it's a good company where hard work eventually pays off. I never heard words like 'enjoy' or 'happy place to work'. They ended up thinking I was a better fit for marketing/ecommerce, but I declined to interview with that department.
- Could you tell me about your background?
- What makes you want to join our company?
- What are your qualifications for this role?
