I had 2 interviews. The first one was about why I liked the company and why I thought I would be a good fit. We talked about my past jobs and what it would be like working for the gym. They asked if I could handle pressure and sales goals. I got a tour and they said they would call me for a second interview. The second interview was pretty much the same, lots of the same questions but they really wanted to know if I would stay with the club long-term. It felt good, but the interviewer was kind of rude when he said goodbye. I didn't get the job :(

First you MUST fill out the online application. That's a pretty typical application so depending on your online application skills expect about 20 minutes. After I completed my online application I received a call for the F2F interview, we scheduled a date and time. you interview with the manager of your department at the location to which you have applied. I went to the gym, because I was applying for front desk I was in business outfit. I arrived a few minutes early for the interview and said hello and told the women at the front desk i was there. I waited for 10 minutes and then they told me the manager needed to reschedule the interview, i went home and we rescheduled for later that week. I went back and had the F2F interview. At the end I was told i would be contacted in a few days after they finished interviewing all applications. I received a call a few days later and was told to come in to fill out paper work and do training. I filled out paperwork, study the materials given to me, and for the next few days I shadowed another welcome team member for a few hours a day and learned the ropes. The training was easy, and it was a great way to meet the staff and have someone to talk to about the role. over not a terrible experience. You have to be patient, and remember everyone is watching you and you are on from the moment you walk into the gym.

You gotta go to an audition at a place that's like 20 miles away from the club you wanna work at. It's pretty intense, with other instructors there, and it takes up your whole afternoon. Only 10% of people get hired. If you do get hired, you start as a sub, and there's no guarantee you'll ever get your own class. If you don't sub, you're off payroll in 30 days and have to start the whole application process over.

I saw the job opening on Indeed and checked out the WSC website for more info. I filled out the online application, which was pretty long. About a week later, the General Manager called me back about a position, but at a different location than I applied for. We scheduled an interview, and I ended up asking more questions than usual on that call, which was mostly just a quick scheduling chat, not really a pre-screen. I got an interview for the next day with the GM, a one-on-one chat. It was mid-day, not too busy at the gym. The GM took notes while asking questions. Overall, the GM was nice and easy to talk to.
