First, I had a phone screening with someone who is currently an Investigative Analyst. Then, later that same week, I was invited to come in person to interview with the Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs) in the unit I was applying to.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was pretty chill but still professional. The interviewer and her paralegal were really nice and personable. There weren't any super tough technical questions, mostly just asking about my resume, my experience, and the kind of work details I'm used to. I'd totally suggest this gig for anyone just starting out as a paralegal, a recent grad, or if you're a bit nervous about the legal field, applying to the NYC DA's office is a good move. It's tough to get in, but the practice interviews are useful, and everyone is really pleasant.

I had 2 interviews. The first was with 2 analysts. The second was with the Deputy Bureau Chief and the Bureau Chief. They asked about my experience with data wrangling, using Microsoft products like powerpoint, and excel. They also wanted to know about my knowledge and experience in the judicial system and if I had been exposed to a courtroom or testified before.
