I interviewed with 3 staff members from the Workforce Development Team, so it was a panel interview. The interview started a bit late, maybe 20 mins after the scheduled time, I guess they were running behind from other interviews. This made my interview feel rushed. At one point, the Chief of Workforce Development started texting on her phone during the interview, which was really weird considering her role. After I answered a couple of questions, the interview ended suddenly. The other two interviewers were professional and engaged though. I'm not sure if they were just tired from interviewing all day, but it was a strange experience. It's been a few weeks and I haven't heard back, so I assume I didn't get the job.

The interview got rescheduled 4 times over two months. I had no idea it would be a panel interview with about 6 interviewers who were all hiring Foresters. Even though each interviewer was hiring a Forester, they each seemed to be looking for slightly different skills. It was hard to answer questions because they didn't explain the jobs I was applying for. One interviewer insulted me, which threw me off and affected the rest of the interview. It was a good learning experience though, because from now on I'll ask for specific details about the interview style beforehand.

In the interview, they asked simple questions about how you would handle a confrontation. They also asked how you would defuse a misunderstanding about bathroom use with transgender individuals, about your strengths and leadership abilities. They also asked you about your customer service experience. The interview also included questions on whether you can express yourself respectfully and if you are shy in situations that might escalate to violence. They also inquired about your ability to stand in extreme heat and how to properly hydrate yourself.
