Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at New Look.
Retail Assistant
The interview was casual and focused on my past experiences and fashion knowledge. It started with a phone screen and then an in-person interview. We went over my CV and background, and my availability. It was relaxed and I felt comfortable.
- What outfit would you create using items from the store?
Store Assistant
we had a group interview where we sat together and answered some questions, then we went onto the store floor to put together an outfit. After we created an outfit, they told us about the store, different areas, and about the company.
- What makes you want to work for New Look?
Retail Assistant
Interview ok - They advertise as 8 hours and in their words "We pride ourselves in being a flexible employer. Although this is a part time role, our colleagues work a range of patterns. If you have a specific pattern in mind, we are keen to discuss this with you in line with the output needed for the role." yet when you get offered the job and want 8 hours on one day instead of 4 days on each day it is not in their pay budget???!?! so I have to travel twice - yet my current role can do 8 hours on one day -strange and non flexible at all.
- Can you describe what constitutes good customer service?
