I did a coding exercise that was data related. Then I had a phone interview with the head of engineering. After that, I had a day of on-site interviews with 7 people, which lasted about 2 hours. Most of the questions were about projects I've done and about my resume.

Technical Behavioral

This was the worst interview process ever. There were 3 rounds which took over two months to complete. They were always late in replying and it seemed like they already had someone in mind for the role. Why even interview other candidates if you've already made a decision? It felt like a complete waste of time. They would say positive things during the interview, but then wouldn't hire you. You might think the interview was easy and you'll get the job, but that's probably because they hired someone cheaper, likely not an international student. Avoid interviewing with them if you can.

So, first they email you a programming exercise, and you have two weeks to finish it. It's a Java thing, uses Spring, and has 4 objectives. It was pretty cool and challenging, especially if you haven't messed with this stuff before. Then, there's an on-site interview that lasts about 3-4 hours. You meet the engineering team, some analysts, and the CEO. My interview also had a quick whiteboard session. The whole thing wrapped up with lunch.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was very professional and well-structured. I met great people and got a sense of the great culture. They asked some technical questions but mostly informational stuff about me as a person and how I see myself fitting into the company. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you are interested in working in finance in the Nashville area. It's an up and coming firm.
