First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nevro.
Territory Manager
The first interview was pretty casual, mostly to see if you'd vibe with the company culture, if you were likable, and if you could build good relationships with both current and potential clients. They really wanted to know if you had a deep understanding of the clinical data, the device's technical features, and how it stacked up against competitors.
- How do you approach managing current customers while also focusing on generating new sales within your territory?
Therapy Consultant
Started with a phone interview with the regional sales manager, then an in-person meeting with the local rep. Scheduling the in-person with the local rep was really tough; they weren't great at responding to emails, calls, or texts. The questions were pretty standard, basically looking for someone willing to put in long hours and comfortable with a lot of driving. Communication between the regional and local staff seemed poor, as I never got a reply from the local rep to set up a ride-along. The regional rep then sent a rather harsh email questioning my interest.
- Describe a situation where you had a conflict with a coworker and explain how you handled it.
Software QA Engineer
Had a recruiter call, and then within a few days, they set up an interview with a hiring manager. The interview was only 30 minutes, so there wasn't enough time to ask my questions. I followed up with the recruiter the next day for feedback, but it's now day 12 and I still haven't heard anything. This lack of professionalism is really disappointing. I get that there are a lot of applicants and business is busy, but that's no excuse for keeping people in the dark for days. I have a feeling I won't hear back, even with a rejection. If this is how they treat people, I'm not interested. I'll keep searching. I wish there was a way to report recruiters like this on Glassdoor or LinkedIn.

Software Validation Engineer
I would suggest being careful if you are thinking about working at this company. My interview process at Nevro was quite long, which I get to some extent. It started with a round with the hiring manager, and then I had a long 5-hour on-site interview. After three weeks, when I followed up, they told me I needed another interview. They said they forgot to ask technical questions and were unsure about my technical skills. For this extra round, the interviewer was 10 minutes late and seemed really curt. I was ready to answer his questions, but he cut the call short without much explanation. After another ten days with no word, I reached out and found out they've put a hiring freeze on. The whole thing felt really disorganized and was pretty disappointing, especially after I put in so much time and effort.
