Project Coordinator
Since I had already done the pre-hire tasks for a previous application with NLI, I didn't have to do them again for this Project Coordinator role. Normally, there's a recruiter chat and some assignments, then a 1:2 interview panel. My recruiter, Brian B., was great about setting up interviews and sharing feedback and what to expect. He was really clear about everything. First, I had a Skype interview with two Project Managers, and then another with the Director of Client Engagement and a Project Coordinator. I've talked to a lot of recruiters lately, and NLI's team is top-notch. It's a good feeling to work with someone who cares about their job and treats you well.
- Can you explain your approach to managing and prioritizing competing tasks?
- How do you cope with feeling overwhelmed?
- On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rank your attention to detail?
Project Coordinator
I went through a one-way video interview, followed by a few phone screens. Then there was a task-based assessment, and finally some video interviews with the team. Midway through, they asked me to switch the position I was applying for, which I did because I was really interested in the company. After getting an offer, I asked a simple question during negotiations, and they made me interview with another director. I had to follow up a bunch of times, and then they finally said I could go back to the original position, but I'd have to wait for it to open up later, which felt like they were pulling the offer. Communication was mostly over the phone, playing phone tag with the recruiter, and not much in email, so there wasn't a written record of the negotiation. Honestly, I was glad I didn't end up working there because the recruitment process seemed really disorganized and the communication was terrible.
- What are three reasons why you are interested in Neuroleadership?
Project Coordinator
The interview process was quite long, but I appreciated being able to move through it at my own pace. My recruiter, Brian, was fantastic to work with and did a great job keeping me updated on everything happening at each step. All the interviews were virtual, and I spoke with several different team members. Everyone was consistently nice, professional, and respectful of my time. Overall, it was a really positive candidate experience!
