Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Neuberger.
Quantitative Analyst
I applied for a Quant Researcher position and they immediately sent over an online assessment. It had four coding problems on HackerRank: flower bouquets, step pattern, maximum quantity, and is possible. Then, they set up a phone interview for me about two weeks later.
- Solve the flower bouquets coding problem.
- Solve the step pattern coding problem.
- Solve the maximum quantity coding problem.
Quantitative Analyst
I had a coding test first. Then, I interviewed with two junior analysts. After that, I had on-site interviews with four people. The coding questions were of medium difficulty. During the interviews, they asked me about my motivation for the role and my past experiences. The final round wasn't technical.
- What's your motivation for this role?
- What makes you interested in this company?
- What are your thoughts on this industry?
Quantitative Researcher
After about two weeks of submitting my application, I had a phone interview with one member of NB. I was asked two questions about solving ode, pde and sde. I was too nervous and did not give the right answer although they were actually easy questions.
- solve GBM
- solve OU
