First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NETZSCH Group.
Sales Engineer
So the interview process was pretty in-depth. First, there was a phone screening, just with HR. Then, I had a first in-person interview with HR, the group lead, and another engineer. After that, they gave me this 90-minute written exam on engineering basics, materials, diagrams, and some problem-solving related to their products and industries. The big part was a take-home assignment: a sales presentation for one of their products. I had to research and prepare it for about seven to eight hours, using links they provided to product videos and competitor sites. The goal was to show why NETZSCH's product is superior and highlight the differences compared to competitors. This was due for my second interview.
- Can you share an instance where you managed multiple projects and met their deadlines?
- Tell me about a past project that you particularly enjoyed and the reasons behind that preference.
Sales Engineer
They reached out to me via personal email. The whole process spanned two days. Day 1 involved a basic resume screening by HR, which wasn't too tough. Day 2 was intense with four rounds: aptitude test, psychometric test, group discussion (GD), and finally, the MD interview. I didn't make it past the GD.
- Can you explain what sales means?
- Could you describe the fundamental aspects of a pump?
Sales Engineer
Telephonic interview first, then a personal interview with sales management and HR, then another personal interview with the Sales Director. The interviews were long and they checked my basic engineering knowledge, sales skills, and IT skills too.
- Can you tell me about the basics of Fluid mechanics?
- What are the basics of pumps?
- What are the basics of valves?
