Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Netskope.
Sales Engineer
Had 6 interviews: two with SEs, two with sales reps, one with the SE manager, and one with the VP of sales. Then a presentation in person. I thought it was a done deal, but they told me the job went to an internal referral. Apparently, two other SEs I know went through the exact same thing. They never actually hire anyone, they just say it went to someone referred internally. Super weird.
- Can you explain various encryption ciphers?
- What distinguishes data in motion from data at rest?
- Can you describe what TLS is?
Sales Engineer
We had a few phone calls to get things rolling and to get updates on progress. Then there was an informal chat about technical skills. After that, I had to do a presentation, but the topic wasn't about IT. Finally, there were some HR questions about my sales background, and I also met the team to learn more about the product.
- Can you describe your technical background and experiences?
- Tell me about your previous sales experience.
- What was the scale or size of the sales deals you've worked on?
Sales Engineer
The interview process involved a manager round, followed by two technical rounds. The people interviewing were very nice, and the HR recruiters were also easy to interact with, which made the interview process comfortable. It then slowly led to scenario-based questions.
- Can you explain the differences between TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3?
- Could you define what ciphers are and discuss SSL handshake differences between RSA and ECDHE handshakes?
- What is your understanding of IAAS, or Infrastructure as a Service?
