Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Netskope.
Principal Product Manager
The hiring process took about 4 months, but it was ultimately successful as all stakeholders were convinced about future investments in terms of time, culture, work, and attitude. Talent acquisition maintained consistent communication, which was very important.
- Can you describe how you influence change?
Product Manager
The interview process started with an HR screening call to understand my motivations for changing roles, interest in Netskope, and current responsibilities. A second round was scheduled quickly, followed by a third technical round on the same day after I passed the prior one. I followed up after a week and was informed I'd cleared all stages, with further rounds to be scheduled. However, after waiting about a month, I was told hiring was frozen due to a resource audit. Two months later, positions reopened, but I learned internally that someone had already been hired. This raises concerns about the transparency and responsibility of HR recruiters, especially after candidates invested significant time and effort.
- Can you explain your reasons for seeking a new opportunity and your interest in Netskope?
- Tell me about your current and past work experience.
- Could you elaborate on your experience with Go-To-Market strategies?
Product Manager
The interview process was pathetic. There were 6 rounds of interviews which went for about 2 months. I think they liked me as the hiring manager confirmed that they liked me but due to changes in their organization, it might take some time to release the offer. After another 2 months, it got rejection confirmation. I later got to know that I was a backup candidate and was lied to for 2 months and they kept me on hold saying that due to organizational changes, there is a delay. Didn't expect this from a pre-IPO firm. Ethics and Integrity should be at first!
- General Product management questions were asked, nothing out of the ordinary.
