Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NetherRealm.
Software Engineer
The people I talked to were really nice and seemed honest. There were two interviews for this job. The first one was mostly technical questions, and the second one included a quick live coding demo and then a chat about game development to see how I approach things.
- They asked me a lot about my C++ technical knowledge to understand what I know and what I still need to learn.
- They asked me about my C++ technical knowledge to understand what I know and what I still need to learn.
Software Engineer
We used Hirevue for the first interview. They asked basic questions about your relevant experience and your experience with Unreal Engine. You don't talk to anyone until the second interview.
- Can you describe your relevant experience?
- What's your experience with Unreal Engine?
Software Engineer
First, there was this screening where they asked a bunch of C++ questions. Then, a 2-part technical interview with 2 different groups. The first part was about optimizing algorithms and fixing buggy code, and the second part was about accessing data.
- How would you optimize a loop and analyze some data?
