so the interview was pretty good, first there was a resume selection round on our campus. then we had a technical round which was quite interesting, we talked about marketing, tech, and AI. after that, it was a pretty chill HR round. Finally, there was a background check before the offer.

Sales
HR Prelim round followed by RM interview and assignment which is a Video Presentation for a given scenario to assess product understanding. Be ready for One Hour Face to face round followed by a Homework which is a Video presentation. No updates on the next steps on follow ups and acknowledgement of time one is investing in preparing for interview and submitting Homework assignment. The hiring process is like a Big 4 with no declaration of result to the candidate hence showing disrespect to the time spent by the candidate.
- What are your past experiences and what were your major achievements?
Backend Software Engineer
After doing a HackerEarth challenge, I got shortlisted. It had two elimination rounds for DSA. First round had array/string questions, I did okay and got shortlisted even with some failed test cases. Second round was harder, with graph and Dijkstra's questions. I solved one fully and the other partially. After 15 days, a recruiter called to set up a virtual interview with a Senior SDE. I asked for two days to prep. The interview was with a Senior SDE. They asked about a Round 1 problem (perfect string for given strings s and t) and how I solved it. Then I had to do the Buy and Sell Stock problem. I explained my solutions, but the interviewer didn't seem impressed.
- Tell me about the technologies you've worked on and your projects.
- What's your approach to the 'Perfect string for given strings s and t' problem?
- Can you solve the 'Buy and Sell Stock' problem?
Product Marketing Manager
Applied on Linkedin. The process was initially smooth and all three rounds were completed in a single week. The following week, I was informed that I had cleared the interviews and was asked to provide salary records and a resignation letter from my current employer. After this, the recruiter became unresponsive. Following numerous follow-ups, I was told they were seeking budget approval from the CEO, then after three weeks, approval from the CMO, and that an offer would be released soon. However, after another two weeks of no updates, my calls and texts to the recruiter went unanswered. Consequently, I withdrew from the process. I believe it's important to discuss hiring decisions before inviting candidates for interviews. Recruiters should respect a candidate's time, especially when they are managing tasks from their current job and completing assignments. Asking for salary slips without even a negotiation round leaves a negative impression, reflecting poorly on the company and its culture. Netcore was a target company for me, but the HR team's actions left a bad taste.
- Could you please present the information contained in the PowerPoint presentation you created, along with a video of yourself delivering it?
- Can you share details about your previous marketing roles and experiences?
- What is your understanding of general marketing principles and practices?
