The hiring process had 3 rounds, with rounds 2 and 3 happening on the same day. Round 1 was a casual intro chat about goals and culture fit, like a 'getting to know you' to see if my career path aligned with the company's vision. Round 2 dove deeper into my project work, how I team up with others, and halfway through we switched to English to get ready for the final technical part. Round 3 was the technical challenge, fully in English with someone from outside Greece. I had to design a website questionnaire system on the whiteboard, covering both the user-facing frontend and the backend data processing and storage.

Behavioral Technical

I had a first interview with HR that went really well. Then, the second interview was a technical interview, and it seemed okay, they seemed positive. For the third interview, I was basically confirmed that the team wanted me. Then I got contacted again saying that team wouldn't be continuing with me because they thought I'd be a better fit for another team. So, the fourth interview was talking to another team manager. The fifth interview confirmed that I would work with this team, and we were just waiting for the 'Recruitment period' to get me the contract, which was supposed to be 2 weeks later. One and a half months after constantly emailing them, they told me they wouldn't hire me because they found a better fit. They basically lied, and I was left quite dumbfounded. Awful interview process, awful punctuality, having to pass 5 interviews where I was confirmed twice, and then they just rejected me.

Behavioral Technical Case

The overall interview experience was quite unprofessional. There seemed to be a lack of communication between the interviewers. The recruiter initially scheduled a call for three weeks out, but I didn't receive any confirmation email. A month later, they called to reschedule due to sickness. The on-site interview had minimal preparation provided. The first hour was a behavioral interview with two managers, which was an informal chat about my expectations and past experiences. They were nice, and I discussed my IT and coding background. The second hour was a technical interview. The interviewer was rude and ended the interview 15 minutes early. I was given a case study to read for two minutes, which was an A4 page of text and four pages of screenshots. I asked if I should approach it from a broad technical perspective, how to manage my time, and if I should use UML for data modeling, but the interviewer was dismissive. Any attempt to explain my thought process was interrupted, and they preferred rapid, one-word answers. They became demeaning if I didn't answer quickly. In the last few minutes, they questioned my education and coding experience, and made a comment about not being a 'real developer' because I liked documentation.
