Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nestlé.
Project Manager
Had an initial chat with the recruiter over teams. They called me right on time and asked me to go over my resume and then asked some questions based on the job description. About 3 weeks later, I got an email to come in for a face-to-face interview with a panel in Buxton. I went, and the interview with the Engineering Manager and Industrial Project Manager lasted about an hour. After that, I heard nothing for almost 3 months, even though I kept emailing the recruiter. Finally, I got a call saying the position was cancelled and they needed to re-evaluate the role description.

Project Manager
I had a good experience during the interview process for the Project Manager position at Nestlé. Here's how it went: I sent my application through the Nestlé website and got a response within a few weeks. Then, they contacted me for a preliminary phone interview where we briefly discussed my experience and availability. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview with an HR manager and a project manager. It was friendly and focused on my past project management experience and how adaptable I am to Nestlé's culture. Next, I had to complete a case study assessment that challenged me to solve project management-related problems. It was a valuable experience to show my skills. I was then selected for a final interview with the person responsible for the role at Nestlé. This stage was more strategic and let me discuss my ideas for the role and how I'd contribute to the team's success. After finishing all the steps, I received a job offer with details on pay, benefits, and other terms.
- Describe a difficult situation you encountered on a prior project and how you resolved it.
Project Manager
It was a contract role and had four rounds, which felt like a bit much. Started with a quick HR phone screen. Then I had an interview with the marketing manager where they asked behavioral questions and wanted proof of my functional experience. After that, I met with the marketing manager and the Head of Marketing to present a case study about a grocery category, even though it wasn't related to the job. The final step was a meet and greet with someone who had a similar role to the one I applied for.
- Could you provide a very detailed answer about one of the products mentioned in the case study?
