Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nestlé USA.
Business Analyst
The process was pretty good - felt fair enough. They did try to make it fair, but I'm not entirely sure how fair it actually was because connections do play a role, and without networking and connections, it would have been a tough go.
- Can you share an example of a time when...?
Business Analyst
I did an online email interview where I answered questions about my past work. Then HR called me for a follow-up phone interview. A couple of weeks later, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager and someone who might be my coworker. After a few more weeks, I went for an onsite interview with the hiring manager, a contractor who's a potential coworker, and HR. It's been weeks since then and I haven't heard back, so I'm guessing I didn't get the job, probably because of my age, which happens a lot.
- Can you describe your past experiences?
Business Analyst
The interview was conducted over the phone and was quite thorough. They place a strong emphasis on situation and behavioral questions. This is a very formal and corporate process. You'll need to have your core competencies memorized and then be able to articulate them using stories and results-based actions. Everyone is generally very nice, which might make it hard to gauge how well you're doing.
- Tell me about a time you disagreed with your direct supervisor and how you persuaded them to adopt your perspective.
