Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nestlé Purina U.S..
Packing Operator
We did a phone interview first, then an in person interview. It was thorough and straight forward. They asked behavior based questions, seeking what your actions were in situations. They also asked safety related questions and about your experience. It was a panel of up to 4 interviewers.
- Can you share an instance where you dealt with a safety related issue?
Warehouse Manager
A recruiter reached out via email and we had an initial chat that I felt went pretty well. I was told I'd get an email with more details later that day and that I should contact them with questions. That email never arrived, and my follow-up calls and emails went unanswered. While I get that sometimes people decide a candidate isn't a fit, just being ghosted like that doesn't seem like a company that has good values.
- Can you describe your experience with relevant software?
- How many direct reports did you have in previous roles?
- What was the revenue of the businesses you've managed?
Forklift Operator
The interview started with a friendly welcome. They offered a facility tour and introduced me to some management staff. They seemed professional and nice, and took an interest in getting to know me. They asked questions that seemed to be checking my communication skills, which made me feel relaxed before they asked about my work experience. We discussed my past jobs and why I left them. I was also asked about my desired starting pay and my availability to start.
- In your own words, why should they consider giving you the job?
- How long do you intend to keep it?
- Would you give a fair resignation notice if you consider leaving the company?
