First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nestlé Purina U.S..
Inside Sales Representative
The interview was a 45 minute phone call with HR. They will send your interview questions and answers to the hiring managers. They will review and get back to you with a second interview. The interview had two behavioral questions, an overview of your resume, and questions about why you want to work here.
- Could you share an instance where you successfully persuaded senior management despite initial resistance?
- Can you provide an overview of your resume?
- What motivates you to want to work here?
Sales Representative
The interview process included an initial recruiter phone call followed by a lengthy, four-hour in-person interview at their St. Louis headquarters. This face-to-face part involved four separate one-hour meetings with different people. It was very intense, focusing on behavioral-based questions, and I had to prepare 12 unique scenarios, not being allowed to repeat any. They emphasized not repeating scenarios, even when asked the same question multiple times, which was exhausting. Unusually for a sales interview, I wasn't permitted to 'close' the interview, and one interviewer even said it wasn't an appropriate question, which made me nervous. This was different from my experiences in the pharma industry, being longer, more intense, and disallowing interview closing.
- Tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a customer.
Sales Team Leader
After submitting your resume online, you'll have a phone interview with a recruiter where they ask behavioral questions. Then, you'll have in-person interviews with the hiring manager, the executive VP, and HR. You'll get an email or phone notification about the next steps.
- Can you share a time you had to resolve a conflict?
